Fixing the CSV error message in Disclose typically involves identifying the issue within the CSV file, such as formatting or data inconsistencies, and rectifying it to ensure successful data import. Users may need to review the CSV file closely and make necessary corrections to align it with the expected format and structure.
1. CSV error message
The error message below can be caused by two common situations:
Example: Could not download the selected report. It may have expired, or its answer set may have been deleted.
There is a third scenario: if the report downloads as a PDF or Word document but fails as a CSV, the issue may lie in the export process.
We've found that comments with nonprintable or non-standard characters can disrupt CSV conversion, causing this error. These characters may not be entered directly but can be copied from other applications.
To fix this, check the comments fields in the answer set and remove any non-alphanumeric or non-standard punctuation characters.
