Installing the checker application
Who is this article for?Administrators who need to install the application on a machine.
Local Admin permissions are required.
Checker requires a specific set of steps to install on a user's local machine. This article walks you through the process.
1. Unblocking a file
To install the Checker, its folder must first be unblocked and extracted.
To unblock a file:
- Right-click the file.
- Choose Properties.
At the bottom of the General tab, you will see this security message.
- Tick Unblock.
- Click Apply.
2. Extracting a file
Once unblocked, you need to extract the folder.
To extract the files:
- Right-click the .zip folder.
- Select Extract all files.
- Choose a location to save it to.
- Click OK.
3. Installing a file
You can now install the file from the location you extracted the folder to.
To install the Checker:
- Right-click setup.exe.
- Select Properties.
- Switch to the "Compatibility" tab.
- Tick Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2).
- Confirm with Apply.
- Click OK.
- Right-click setup.exe again.
- Select Run as Administrator.
The application will now install successfully on the user’s machine. Make sure to restart the computer once the installation is complete.
