Creating a client
Who is this article for?Users creating clients.
Client Access is required.
Creating clients in Ideagen Disclose keeps track of the organisations you work with and manages disclosure and reporting workflows for them. Adding clients to disclose allows you to manage the disclosure requirements on a per client basis.
1. Creating a new client
- To create a client, select the plus icon .
- A pop up box will appear where you can enter the client's name and select any security required for this client. If you add security to a client, only the persons or groups added are able to access this client and its related answer sets. If all the users added to the client are no longer with the firm, an administrator is required to unlock the client. The default is creator and everyone, unless you are making use of user groups, in which case, it is creator and all the user groups of which the user is a member.
- Click Add once you've entered all the client's details. The new client will now appear in your clients list.
2. Creating a client user
- From the main manage client's menu, if you hover over a client name and select the icon you have the option to create a client user.
- Then, you'll be able to share an answer set with a client.
- The client will be automatically assigned a username (a unique number) and you need to enter their email address and culture.
- The client user will get a different log in screen and will only be able to see the details for them as a client and not any other clients.
- Once a client user has been created, if you hover over the client's name select the icon you can edit their details, delete the client user, or view the client user details.
Note: The client will be sent an e-mail asking them to confirm their password. Please see Getting Started with Accessing Disclose
3. Amend users access to the client
- Open the Client Record.
- Browse to the Search Users and Groups section at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Add for each user.
Important: By default, the security will be set to allow the creator and everyone to access the client. Assigning an individual or group will automatically remove Everyone from the security configuration. Removing all assigned users or groups will automatically re-assign Everyone to the security.
